Nowe Horyzonty

Wczoraj zakończył się 12 wrocławski festival filmowy Nowe Horyzonty którego celem jest wykroczenie poza granice konwencjonalnego kina  Mogliśmy zobaczyć filmy pełnometrażowe, dokumentalne i krótkometrażowe, których cechą wspólną jest nietuzinkowość.  Przedstawiane obrazy kierowane są do widzów wymagających  od kina czegoś więcej niż wyłącznie rozrywki.

Yesterday in Wroclaw the12th film festival Nowe Horyznoty ended. The aim of this annual event is to present bold, unconventional films that are searching for the new forms of expression - the new horizons of cinema. We could see full-length films, documentaries and short films, which have one thing in common - extraordinarity. 

  

W trakcie 11 dniu festiwalu, przez miasto przewinęło się tysiące turystów, nie tylko z Polski, na których czekały wyśmienite seanse filmowe, oraz liczne koncerty,  wystawy, warsztaty, spotkania z twórcami i gry miejskie.

W samym sercu miasta powstało kino pod chmurką, gdzie nieodpłatnie można było załapać się na film, zaś nieodpodal na Placu Solnym powstała sztuczna plaża oraz tor dla wielbicieli skimboard'u 

During 11 days of the festival, excellent film screenings, and numerous concerts, exhibitions, workshops, meetings with artists and urban games were waiting for us. In the heart of the city there were free screenings under a cloud, and a couple of meters away from the screen, on plac solny, there was a skimboard track that was open for everyone, along with an artificial beach. 

"Mój rower" to jeden z filmów, który zapadł mi w pamieć. Słodko-gorzka opowieść, balansująca na skraju śmiechu i łez, już od pierwszych minut przykuwa uwagę i porywa nas w zagmatwany świat, trudnych, męskich relacji. Reżyser-Piotr Trzaskalski przedstawia długą i niełatwą drogę, jaką jest odbudowywanie więzi, między ojcem a synem. Bohaterzy mimo wzajemnej niechęci, zmuszeni są zjednoczyć siły w obliczu zaistniałych sytuacji. Konstrukcja wydarzeń choć przewidywalna, porusza problemy współczesnego świata, w którym  rozwody stały się codziennością ,dzieci obowiązkiem alimentacyjnym, a praca nową religią. Mimo to, uważam że, film ten jest wart uwagi, a czas który spędzimy przed ekranem, nie będzie stracony.

"Mój rower" is one of the movies that I enjoyed. Bitter-sweet story, balancing on the edge of laughter and tears from the first minutes it focus our attention and carries us into the tangled world of difficult, masculine relationships.

The director, Piotr Trzaskalski, shows us a long and arduous journey, which is rebuilding the bond between father and son. Protagonists in spite of their mutual dislike, are forced to unite in the face of  encountered situations. Although the construction of the events is predictable , it discusses the modern world problems, where divorce has become commonplace, children are mandatory alimony and work is a new religion.

All in all, movie is worth of attention, and the time spent in front of the screen, will not be  wasted.
